Respect the things you have

In the month of February we saw, democracy work it's way into the Arab world. Today on Washington's birthday, think about our country and what we have. Think about what he started, with nothing, with an army with no morale to the world's most powerful nation today.

The U.S. with the high profile of living has turned people into venti soy non-fat chai tea lates, no foam, 180 degrees, for Sue. If you get what i am saying. In translation; we are all picky and snooty and have to have our way or else get out of the way.

We have to have the best, the biggest and the most expensive. Yet look at the world, everything amazing has come from the United States, like automobiles, electricity, oil.

So it is your choice, are we all picky?

Elfin Forest

As I continue my research on the elfin forest in Escondido CA zip code 92076 I become more and more anxious to visit the ‘haunted place’.

I read a History page on the forest and it concluded that the area is home to nature loving people. Some type of hippies I guess you can say.

The people of the area are for saving the area. Back in the early 1990’s the county of San Diego wanted to put a waste dump and recycling center in the area. The people of that community were devastated. After months of fighting the plans got canceled but half of the recycling center was built. Now it is for sale.

Elfin Forest has been home to many upon many of ghost tales. Stories of an insane asylum and also a cult house. There are also many tales of ghost tales. Some have video recorded them and they are on you tube.

There is a retreat in the Elfin Forest called Quest Haven Retreat. With regular Sunday services. It is a non denominational church with regular church goers. Half of the retreat burned down in the early 1940’s and plans to rebuild were underway.

The owner at the time brought in a botanical scientist to the area from Santa Barbara. The area is rich in rare coastal shrubbery. Which is currently on the endangered species list in the state of California. They planted beautiful and rare trees and shrubs which now blossom in the Elfin Valley.

The tales of haunted stories will always be a mystery. Although it is very creepy with the over hanging oak trees on Quest Haven rd.. There have been stories of witches and giant owls and a woman wearing a white dress walking around the forest. The most feared tale that I have come across in my research is the story of the witch that prowls the forest floors looking for people that come into the forest.

There is also a witch that some people say wears a black robe riding around on a black stallion. She senses when someone comes into the forest and the person is automatically marked with a mark on their spirit so if they come back into the forest they will be killed automatically.

There is no evidence of an asylum or a cult house. Although from my research, people from the area saw a cult where the woman would be drugged and impregnated and when the baby was born, would be sacrificed. This seems crazy to think about yet people in the area says it used to actually happen. The only place that is spooky in the area is an abonded building that is gated and protected with a security guard. The guard is protected with a shot gun. Why would HE need a shot gun.

The area used to be home to a band of Indians. Some say that the Elfin Valley was home to their burial grounds. When the plans were underway for the recycling center evidence was found of bodies. The evidence was quickly shoved under the rug. As no one wanted anything to happen to this desolet community.

Another piece of history is that in the 19th century and well into the 20th century the area was inhabited by gypsies. When the local communites came in the gypsies that stood in the way were killed and then the remaining gypies cursed the land and around the Elfin Forest.

Many myths surround the area. Yet it is a beautiful and wondrous place, rich with history and loving people. The history is so fascinating. I encourage you to take a drive through Quest Haven rd and see for yourself the rubble of buildings and rich foliage. Who knows, maybe you will see something.

Thank you:

Does Motivation Gurantee Success?

The simple things and success in life come from hard work of another generation. Yet success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against creating success. We work to get money, and then we spend it to achieve fun. Life isn’t all about working, sleeping, and eating, it is more. Family gatherings, sunsets at the beach, awkward moments and a weird, odd--shaped flower is what life is about. Yet through all this chaos we need to slow down and take time to smell the roses, as the old saying goes. However are people motivated to slow down? Does your incentive to do something pledge your reward? Many authors have picked up the task of writing about life and its questions, yet one question remains unsolved; does motivation guarantee success?
